- This route starts in the small centre of the
municipality of Sant Miquel de Campmajor, which is located beside
road GI-524 between Banyoles and Mieres. You will find a place to
park your cars and unload your bicycles in front of the village town
hall. You should take into account that this route is not circular
and that you will need to use some logistics if you do not wish to
ride the whole way back once you have reached the end of the route.
- Cross road GI-524 and take GIV-5246 to Falgons.
It is a secondary road with quite a good asphalted surface. |

- After 1.6 km, you will find a track to the left,
which is signposted: "Pujarnol" and "Fang
Aventura". Take this track, which rises through the forest for
about 2.8 km until you reach the top, the Collet de Pujarnol. |

| |
Collet de Pujarnol |
|
|
2.85 |
- Here, a signpost at the crossroads tells you
that you are at an altitude of 443 m. Take the left turn to Pujarnol.
- The track is still well surfaced and it will
soon become an asphalted secondary road. |

|
0.68 |
- Now, a signpost tells you that you have reached
Pujarnol (in the municipality of Porqueres). To the right, you see a
restaurant in an old country house. After that, continue straight on
and cycle downhill easily for some kilometres until you reach a
crossroads. |

direction of Camós (2.9 km away). |

Camós |

|
2.98 |

Veďnat de Ca l’Aubó |
|
|
0.50 |
- You cycle straight on and at the end of the
hamlet, the asphalted road comes to an end. You have to continue
straight on and take a forest track, which is not in very good
condition for about 2 kilometres! This is the most difficult part of
the route!!! Most cyclists in our group have been obliged to push
the bicycle for a while and probably even cyclists who are quite fit
will have to get off the bicycle at some places due to the slope and
bad condition of the surface of the track. |
17.99 |
| |
Mas de Can Puig |
|
|
2.50 |
- You reach the old Mas de Can Puig (a ruin of an
old Catalan country house) and continue straight on.
- At 350 m from the country house, you cycle past
a track to the left and soon after that you reach road GIV – 5191,
which you take to the left in the direction of Sant Martí de la

and grass all around, inviting you to stop on your way. |
21.99 |
|
0.62 |
- Follow the same road and at about 620 m from
Sant Martí turn to the right and take an unsurfaced track with a
small signpost indicating "Creixent", a rural community. |
22.61 |
| |
Creixent |
|
|
0.95 |
- After about 900 m, you come to Creixent. Now
you have to continue cycling straight down a long, steep hill (or
get off the bike!). |
23.56 |
|
0.83 |
- You come to an asphalted road. To the right is
the direction to Canet d’Adri (according to the signpost). You
turn left and follow this road for about 400 m until the next
crossroads. |
24.39 |
|
0.40 |
- Once you reach the crossroads, turn right
following the signpost for Sant Juliŕ de Ramis for about 80 m. |
24.79 |
|
0.08 |
- Take the track to the right, following the
direction of a signpost for "La Pallonera", a rural house
which offers tourist accommodation.
- Cycle straight on and you will go down a forest
track which is not in very good condition and which can be quite
muddy if it has been raining!
- After 800 m the forest track splits into two
and you take the left fork. |
24.87 |
|
1.02 |
- The forest track will lead you to another track,
which is in quite good condition, and you will turn left here.
- After 570 m you pass a track to the right and
continue cycling straight on.
- Soon afterwards, you come to a bridge over a
small river and the track becomes an asphalted secondary road, which
you follow always cycling straight ahead. |
25.89 |
|
1.70 |
- You come to another asphalted secondary road
and you continue onwards to the right. |
27.59 |

continue straight on. |
27.94 |
|
0.87 |

right into Bosc Street (carrer del Bosc). After 250 m, the street
turns to the left. |
28.81 |

see the main road N-II, which you will have to cross: you see the
pedestrian crossing with a traffic light at the end of the street. |
29.90 |
|
0.20 |
- Once you reach the other side of the road,
after crossing the pedestrian crossing, you follow an asphalted path
downhill which takes you to the Parc de les Ribes del Ter (Park on
the Banks of the Ter). Here, cycling along the path by the river, it
is easy to believe that one is once again far away from an urban
area.
- You will cycle behind Girona’s main hospital,
Hospital Josep Trueta and behind the sport facilities of the GEIEG
(a Girona Sports Club).
- You continue cycling along the river bank and
under the bridges of the roads leading to Girona. |
30.10 |
|
2.85 |
- At the end, the path will lead you to the
municipal sports pavilion of Girona-Fontajau. It has a large parking
area which can be very useful.
- You have reached Girona and you have cycled
about 33 km. |
